In an interview, Minh Hang shared that: “When it came to naming our child, my husband suggested multiple names, including Hyun Bin. He said it was because I adored Hyun Bin, and this way, I’d get to see Hyun Bin every day. I then suggested the name ‘Mo,’ which was his pet name for me when we first started dating.”
Not many people know that their son, affectionately known as “Baby Mo,” has a three-character name, with the family name ‘Nguyen,’ following his father’s surname. Minh Hang’s husband, a successful businessman, is named Nguyen Quoc Bao, and their son was given the middle name ‘Quoc’ and ‘Huy’ as his first name, honoring his father and carrying on the family name.
Baby Mo’s name is a combination of his father’s surname and middle name.
Minh Hang further elaborated: “It’s true that when two people are in love and compatible, they decide to get married. But there’s a saying that goes, ‘what brings you together can also drive you apart.’ Both my husband and I are extroverts; we enjoy working and socializing. However, after becoming a mother, my focus shifted inward, and I wanted to devote all my time to our child. I expected the same from my husband, which put him under some pressure. It’s a mother’s instinct to want to give her best to her child, and sometimes, this caused a little tension between us.”
