Before learning how to change Shopee name, you need to understand the conditions to do so. The Shopee login name is your registered account name with Shopee. This login name is unique, independent, only one, not duplicated with any other Shopee user accounts. Moreover, it is formatted according to Shopee’s regulations, with lowercase letters without accents, no special characters, no spaces, and no capital letters.

To change Shopee login name, you need to meet one of the following conditions:

If your old login name consists of 10 randomly arranged characters like i98bjhihu7, you can change the name once only.
If you are a seller on Shopee, you can change your login name after 30 days from the last name change.

Guide on how to change Shopee name

Once you have met the conditions for changing login name on Shopee, you can easily and quickly change your name by following these steps:

Step 1: First, open the Shopee app > Log in to your account > Tap on the “Me” section at the bottom right of the screen.

Step 2: In the “Me” section, scroll down and tap on the “Account Settings” feature.

Step 3: Next, choose “Account & Security” > Tap on “Username“.

Step 4: At this point, a notification from Shopee about changing the login name will appear on the screen. Press “Continue“.

Although the process of changing Shopee name is simple, there are some things you need to keep in mind:

Number of times to change Shopee name

With a buyer account, you can only change the login name once and the old name must be randomly generated with 10 characters. But with a seller account, you can change the name after 30 days from the last name change. Therefore, if you want to change the name multiple times, you should switch to a seller account, as with this account, you can still purchase on Shopee.

Changing name with an account created through ShopeePay wallet link

If your Shopee account was created through a link with ShopeePay wallet, to change the login name, you need to send a request via email to Shopee Customer Care department.

Step 1: First, access the link here to submit a request to change the login name.

Step 2: Next, fill in the information in the form. For the feedback content part, you need to enter: New login name, Phone number registered with Shopee account, Reason for changing the login name.

Step 3: After filling in, click “Submit” and wait for Shopee’s response.
