About the origin of this country, the President of Molossia, Kevin Baugh, said that he had dreamed of building a country of his own since he was a child. With the support of a group of like-minded friends, they always dreamed of establishing a country in the future. Kevin then joined the US military but never gave up on his dream. After his discharge, on May 26, 1977, Kevin declared the establishment of the Republic of Great Waterstein on a small piece of land, bestowing the title of king on his friend and becoming prime minister himself.
However, in 1999, Kevin’s friend left the country, and Kevin decided to change the country’s name to “the Republic of Molossia” and become president himself. He appointed his wife as the First Lady and his 11-year-old son as the Chairman of the National Security Council. When founding the new country, Kevin designed the flag of Molossia. The flag of the Republic of Molossia has three colors: blue, white, and green, symbolizing the sky, desert, and mountains. To manage his small country, he consulted the political and legal systems of many countries and sought support to build his own political and legal systems. Molossia imposes restrictions on weapons, drugs, tobacco, and other environmental pollutants. In Molossia, Kevin intended to build a navy, army, and air force, but due to geographical restrictions, only the navy was established with 5 kayak ships.
