The ancient town of Hoi An, with its quaint beauty and tranquil atmosphere, was a must-visit destination for Chi Pu and Man Tzu during their trip to Vietnam. Nestled along the romantic Hoai River, Hoi An stands in stark contrast to modern cities with its ancient and serene allure. The town captivates visitors with its ancient tile-roofed houses, yellow walls adorned with time’s patina, and vibrant lantern displays, creating a scenic blend of poetry and nostalgia.

During the day, the ancient town presents a peaceful, vibrant painting-like setting, while at night, it transforms into a magical lantern-lit spectacle, with the lights reflecting off the calm waters of the Hoai River. Hoi An is not just a repository of cultural and architectural remnants from the bustling 17th and 18th-century trading port but also a unique symbol of the fusion of Asian and European cultures.

Chi Pu, acting as a tour guide, took her best friend on a night tour of the ancient town, including a boat ride on the Hoai River and lantern floating.

One of the highlights of a visit to Hoi An is a boat ride on the Hoai River at night, where you can float lanterns on the water. As the ancient town illuminates, the river becomes a magical sight with hundreds of colorful lanterns reflecting off the water, creating a romantic and unique ambiance.

The two “beautiful sisters” had the opportunity to release flower lanterns onto the poetic Hoai River.

The gorgeous duo enthusiastically explored the beach.

Aboard a small boat, visitors can bask in the tranquility of the ancient town and gently release flower lanterns carrying wishes for peace and good fortune. This is not just a tourist activity but also a distinctive cultural feature of Hoi An. With the gentle breeze and sparkling lights, the moment of releasing the lanterns becomes an unforgettable memory, leaving a deep impression on visitors like Man Tzu, who was awe-struck by the romantic scenery.

During their journey, the two artists also checked out the Golden Bridge in Da Nang, a city known for its unique design and iconic status. The bridge is located at an altitude of 1,414 meters above sea level and stretches approximately 148.6 meters long. It comprises eight spans, with the largest one measuring 21.2 meters. The bridge is supported by two giant stone hands, each with a finger diameter of about two meters, giving it a distinctive appearance that has attracted numerous domestic and international tourists and earned it a spot on several global travel lists.

The blue sea and golden sun captivated the Chinese actress, who, according to Chi Pu, braved the midday sun to stroll on the beach and record her memorable trip to Vietnam in a vlog.

In addition, Chi Pu and Man Tzu spent time exploring the beach and scuba diving to admire the coral reefs, a thrilling way to experience the beauty of the central region’s seas.

During their trip, Chi Pu also introduced her beautiful companion to central Vietnam’s unique delicacies, including “che xoa xoa” (a jelly-like dessert made from seaweed), tofu, boba, and grass jelly.

The “che xoa xoa,” a humble street food delicacy, captivates diners with its distinctive flavor and cooling properties. This dessert is primarily made from natural seaweed, resulting in a transparent, soft, and slightly chewy jelly. It is typically served with mashed mung beans, rock sugar syrup, and shaved ice, occasionally accompanied by creamy coconut milk, creating a harmonious blend of sweet and cool flavors with a subtle nutty taste. This modest dish, priced at just 15,000 VND, has captivated both locals and tourists.

Tofu, boba, and grass jelly are also popular summer treats commonly found at Central Vietnam’s street stalls and mobile vendors. The silky tofu, fragrant with soybean, pairs beautifully with the chewy boba and refreshing grass jelly. Indulging in these treats not only cools you down during the hot summer days but also provides a sense of relaxation and satisfaction. That’s why a simple bowl of “che xoa xoa” or a cup of tofu dessert has become an essential part of the culinary experience when exploring Central Vietnam.

Previously, Chi Pu received praise for her thoughtful promotion of Vietnamese culture and hospitality when hosting international artists. She has consistently demonstrated her warmth and hospitality as a “tour guide” to her foreign colleagues and friends visiting Vietnam.
