Origin and significance of the Day of God of Wealth

According to folk tradition, the God of Wealth is a deity in heaven who specializes in managing wealth, fortune, prosperity, and luck. Buying gold for good luck is something many people do on the Day of God of Wealth.

In ancient times, there was no God of Wealth in the mortal world, as the god in charge of money and wealth lived in heaven. One time, when the God of Wealth was out enjoying drinks, he got drunk and fell down to the mortal world, hitting his head on a rock, and lost consciousness. A passerby saw a person dressed like a performer and found it strange, thinking he was mad, so he stripped off his clothes and sold them.

The God of Wealth woke up with no clothes on and his head hit the rock, so he didn’t remember who he was, and wandered around begging for food. Luckily, there was a store nearby selling roasted chicken, duck, and pork, and when they saw the God of Wealth begging, they took pity on him and gave him food. Strangely, from that moment on, other customers suddenly flocked to the store. It was believed that thanks to the poor beggar, so the next day, the store owner invited the God of Wealth to eat, and sure enough, after he entered, the customers flocked in.

From then on, every day the store owner invited the God of Wealth to his shop. Over time, the surrounding shops were all empty, and only this shop was always crowded.
