Using baking soda
Baking soda is a natural alkaline substance that can help neutralize acidic stains on mattresses such as sweat, urine, and fruit juice stains. Additionally, baking soda can also help eliminate odors from mattresses. Simply mix baking soda with laundry detergent in a basin, dissolve it in water, and soak the mattress for a few hours to soften the stains. You can also use baking soda in combination with laundry detergent and wash the mattress in a washing machine as usual.

You can mix laundry detergent with other available ingredients in the house to increase the effectiveness of cleaning the mattress, helping to disinfect and eliminate odors.
Using salt
Salt is not only a seasoning but can also be used as a cleaning and disinfecting agent. In addition, for washing, salt acts as a color fixative for fabrics, preventing them from fading. Simply dissolve laundry detergent with salt and pour it into the washing machine along with the mattress. Choose the appropriate washing mode and let the machine operate as usual.
White vinegar
White vinegar is a natural acid that can help neutralize acidic stains like oil and tea stains. Additionally, vinegar also has antibacterial properties to a certain extent. Washing the mattress with white vinegar not only eliminates stains but also removes odors.
You can mix white vinegar with laundry detergent and use this mixture to wash the mattress.
To increase the effectiveness of cleaning, you can also combine salt, baking soda, white vinegar, and laundry detergent to clean the mattress. Mix 2 tablespoons of salt, 1 tablespoon of baking soda, a little white vinegar, and an appropriate amount of laundry detergent. Add half a bowl of water and stir well to dissolve the ingredients.
Put the mattress in the washing machine and pour the prepared mixture into the machine. Start the machine and let it run a full cleaning cycle for the mattress. After that, take the mattress out and expose it in a dry, well-ventilated place. By using this method, the mattress will be fresh, clean, and as good as new. In the cleaning mixture prepared above, salt acts as a bactericidal agent, disinfectant, and fabric color preserver for the mattress. Baking soda acts as a cleaner, removing stubborn stains. Vinegar helps soften the fabric fibers.

Mattresses should also be cleaned regularly to ensure hygiene.
Note that after washing, you should not leave the mattress in the washing machine overnight but instead take it out to air dry immediately. Air drying right after washing helps prevent the mattress from becoming wrinkled and developing odor. After using the washing machine, it is also recommended to keep the machine’s door slightly open to allow the inside to evaporate, keeping the drum dry and preventing mold growth.
