Together with the entire family, we wholeheartedly gather in front of the Great Treasure Hall, at the temple.

The Buddha Shakyamuni, the Buddha Amitabha, the Ten Directions Buddhas, the Supreme Dharma Buddhas, the Great Merciful Guanyin, and the Venerable Monastics.

Longtime disciples

With heavy karmic obstacles

We now come before the Buddha’s altar,

Repenting sincerely

Resolving to avoid evil

Aspiring to do good deeds,

Looking up to the Buddha’s blessings,

To Guanyin Bodhisattva,

To the Noble Monastics,

To the Celestial Dragon Eight Warriors,

To the Dharma Protectors,

In the assembly of compassionate beings.

We humbly request the protectors to look after us and our families, free from worries and illnesses, joyfully carrying out daily work in accordance with the Buddha’s teachings, so that our endeavors may be smooth and successful, and the blessings of the Buddha’s teachings may be present at all times.

We beseech for the deliverance of our parents, siblings, relatives, and all sentient beings, so that they may all attain the path of the Buddha.

We humbly offer our sincere worship and seek protection and support.

With utmost sincerity, we offer worship and tribute (if there is an inscription, place it on the altar), to the Triple Gem Regular Seat of the Triple Gem Temple.

We respectfully offer:

– The Buddha Amitabha, the ruler of the Western Pure Land.

– The Buddha Shakyamuni, the ruler of the Saha World.

– The Medicine Master Buddha, the ruler of the Eastern Pure Land.

– The Heavenly Kings, the Heavenly Eyes, the Five Hundred Bodhisattvas who rescue from disasters and calamities, and the compassionate Guanyin Bodhisattva.

– We pay homage to the Dharma Protector, the Celestial Bodhisattvas.

We pray that the benevolent beings will protect and support us, granting us…

We pray that the offerings, the sincere (inscription), will be an affirmation, a testament to our deliverance from disasters and calamities, the dissipation of evils, the increase of fortune and wealth, the strength and health of the family, the harmony and prosperity of all, the eradication of all obstacles, the smooth progress of the righteous path. May all wishes be fulfilled, all prayers answered.

We, as ordinary beings, have committed many mistakes. We beseech the Buddha and the compassionate beings to allow us (and our families) to be delivered from calamities, to bestow all that is good, to fulfill our wishes, and to guide our thoughts with righteousness.

We humbly offer our sincere worship and seek protection and support.

Namo Amitabha Buddha! (3 times, 3 prostrations).

Inscribed prayer to Guanyin Bodhisattva

Namo Amitabha Buddha! (3 times, 3 prostrations)

Namo the Great Compassion, Great Compassionate Guanyin Bodhisattva. We respectfully pay homage to the Enlightened Master, the Witness to All, who listens with deep compassion. We have heard that the Buddha taught in the Flower Adornment Sutra, “Even if one only hears the name of Guanyin Bodhisattva or sees a portrait, with one mind engaged in mindful recitation, all harmful obstacles will be eliminated, bringing forth peace and joy.”

In utmost sincerity, we come before the Buddha’s platform, at the Mahayana Hall, offering tributes and offerings, the fragrance of flowers and the sound of golden bells, with five parts united, and one mind paying homage under the pink lotus. We beseech the noble Guanyin to never abandon us, to protect and save us like a compassionate mother. With purity in our minds, we pray for grace and purity, to fulfill our virtuous aspirations. May the illuminating light of wisdom shine upon us, lightening the burden of worldly affairs, blossoming the flower of the Dharma, granting disciples and their families peace, security, fortune, and prosperity. Whatever we pray for, whatever we wish for, may it be granted.

We humbly offer our sincere worship and seek protection and support.

Namo Guanyin Bodhisattva! (3 times, 3 prostrations).
