Online Personal Identity Card (CCCD online) is the term people commonly use to refer to the electronic identity verification account. The electronic identity verification account is integrated and accessed through the VNeID electronic identity verification application.

As mentioned above, to integrate various related documents such as driver’s license (driving license), vehicle registration certificate, the electronic identity verification account needs to be at level 2. If your identity verification account is still at level 1, you need to contact the nearest commune/ward police agency for support in updating and supplementing information. The account will automatically reach level 2 when the information is fully supplemented.

To check the level of the electronic identity verification account, you need to install the VNeID application and log in with the account issued when applying for CCCD.

Step 3: Click on the arrow next to Select Information and choose Driver’s license in the window that appears below the screen.

Step 4: Enter the requested information such as Driver’s license number (you will find this number on the front of your physical driver’s license), License class (A1, A2, B1, B2…), and check the box confirm that the above information is correct then click Submit Request.

If you have multiple driver’s licenses, you can repeat the above steps multiple times to integrate all driver’s licenses into CCCD online.

The system will take time to verify your request, which can be a few hours or even a few days from the time you submit the request.

You will receive a notification when the verification result is available. If the verification is unsuccessful, please double-check the accuracy of the information entered. In case you have entered all the correct information but still cannot complete the verification, you can contact the police agency for assistance.

How to view the integrated driver’s license in CCCD online

After integrating the driver’s license into CCCD online and successfully verifying it, you can easily check your driver’s license in the VNeID app by:

Step 1: Access the VNeID app.

Step 2: On the homepage, scroll down a bit and you will see the option for Driver’s license, click here and enter the confirmation password.

Step 3: The verified driver’s license information will appear on the screen.

Important notes when integrating driver’s license into CCCD online

At the current time (early 2024), presenting the driver’s license on VNeID may still result in penalties. According to Article 58, Clause 2 of the 2008 Law on Road Traffic, drivers must carry documents such as driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, and other documents when driving.

Therefore, before there are regulations and decrees regarding the presentation of online driver’s licenses and vehicle registration, you need to carry these documents when participating in traffic to avoid penalties according to the current regulations.
