Mute Incoming Calls
Whether you’re in a meeting, deep in work, or speaking with a client, an unexpected call can be disruptive. To quickly mute the ring without interrupting the call, simply press the volume down button. From there, you can decide whether to take the call or not, depending on the situation.
Additionally, the volume down button lets you silence alarms or other notifications without disrupting your current task.

Turn Off the Flashlight
While the phone’s flashlight is handy for instant light, turning it off usually requires unlocking your screen and accessing the control panel. A quick tip: you can turn off the flashlight by simply pressing the volume down button twice in succession, no screen unlocking needed. Note that this feature is not supported on all phone models.
Adjust Phone Volume

When reading e-books on your phone, you may use the volume up or down buttons to turn the pages without touching the screen. However, this feature may vary depending on the e-reading app and phone model you’re using.
