A large stone tablet placed at the entrance recounts the legend of this place: “According to folklore, during Emperor Bao Dai’s visits to the central provinces, Empress Nam Phuong – the last empress of the feudal regime – chose this place as her private beach.” And thus, the beach earned its name, Hoang Hau Beach. The beach is filled with countless round and smooth stones, resembling giant bird eggs stacked on top of each other, hence the name Egg Stone Beach. Each stone boasts unique colors and sizes. Photo: Truong Dinh.

The beach is not very long, surrounded by high mountains that provide a sense of enclosure. The waters here are calm, with gentle waves. Most visitors come to take photos, enjoy the scenery, and wade in the water when the waves come in to relax rather than swim. Photo: Truong Dinh.

Getting to Queen’s Beach requires a bit of a hike. There is a trail that leads down to the beach from a small parking lot off the main road.
