According to Giap Van Hai, a local tour guide, this vibrant cherry blossom tree is located in Lo Lo Chai village, next to the Dragon Eye Lake and near the Lung Cu Flag Tower in Dong Van district.
Mr. Hai mentioned that the tree has been there for a long time, but it suddenly gained popularity this year as it is currently the most beautiful and vibrant blooming tree in the area, especially since it is blooming out of season. While the pink cherry blossoms have already faded before Tet, and the local peach blossoms are yet to reach their peak (expected at the end of February), the stunning beauty of this red cherry blossom tree in Lung Cu has captured everyone’s attention.
On February 14th, a group of tourists from Danang expressed their awe as they beheld the tree’s beauty. “It’s the first time I’ve seen such a gorgeous tree; every photo turns out perfectly,” said Quynh Chi.
Hong Phuong, from Ha Long, Quang Ninh, who also took photos with the tree that morning, commented on the tree’s unique location, directly facing the Lung Cu Flag Tower. “During our exploration of Lo Lo Chai, we were amazed to discover this beautiful tree and decided to capture the moment,” she said.
According to forecasts, the cherry blossom tree will continue to bloom vibrantly until the end of February.
Visiting Ha Giang in February offers a chance to witness the region’s peach blossoms in full bloom along the roadsides. Ha Giang’s peach blossoms tend to bloom later than other northern mountainous provinces, earning it the nickname “the land of late-blooming peach blossoms.” Additionally, spring is also the season for canola and apricot flowers. In March, the flame trees dazzle with their bright red flowers along the roads from Dong Van to Meo Vac and down to Nho Que River, attracting many visitors for photos.
