In March, when the weather in the Northwest starts to change, the rhododendron forests in Putaleng come alive, covering the paths with vibrant shades of purple, pink, and orange.

With over 30 unique species of rhododendrons, the blooming flowers create a stunning display of colors on the highest peak of the Hoang Lien Son range, earning Putaleng (Lai Chau) the title of the “kingdom” of the most beautiful rhododendrons in the Northwest.
