The Design of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
While Apple has retained the overall design for the new iPhone Pro models – a rectangle with softened corners, they have reduced the thickness of the screen bezels, giving them a larger screen-to-body ratio.
The new iPhone Pro models feature super-thin bezels.
Next, the frame of these premium smartphones has been changed to Titanium 5, which is extremely durable and lighter than stainless steel. As a result, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are lighter than the previous generation of iPhone Pros.
The duo comes in four new color options.
Their screens are 6.1-inch (iPhone 15 Pro) and 6.7-inch (iPhone 15 Pro Max) OLED displays with the familiar 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate. Of course, the two devices still feature the Dynamic Island that houses the selfie camera and displays various information depending on the app running on the iPhone.
The new Action button.
As predicted, the mute switch has been replaced by an Action button. By default, this button will allow users to quickly mute their iPhones. Additionally, iPhone owners can customize it to launch their favorite apps, activate Focus modes, or use Siri shortcuts to access in-app functions.
USB Type-C Port and Connectivity
After years of sticking with the Lightning port for iPhones, Apple has finally integrated a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer in the new iPhone 15 models.
However, only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max support USB 3.2 with speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second, which is about 20 times faster than USB 2.0 (on the Lightning port).

That’s not all; the iPhone 15 Pro duo is equipped with the new Ultra Wideband 2 chip, which enhances the ability to locate lost devices and other devices with the new chip.
With UW2, the new iPhone Pros can locate friends and family members in crowded spaces. Users can quickly find their loved ones by sharing their locations, and this feature works through Find My.
A17 Pro Processor
This year, the new A17 Pro processor, built on the 3nm process, has been unveiled, and it’s the first smartphone chip built on this advanced process. With 19 billion transistors, this chip is expected to offer better performance and energy efficiency.

Additionally, it’s a 6-core CPU, including 2 high-performance cores that are “10% faster than its predecessor” and 4 high-efficiency cores. According to Apple, they offer three times better performance than the “competition.”
But it’s not just the CPU that has been updated; the new GPU in the Apple A17 Pro is also 20% faster and, for the first time, features hardware-accelerated ray tracing. The Neural Engine works in conjunction with the GPU to enhance images quickly and enable high-resolution gaming without compromising performance.
Camera Upgrades
The iPhone 15 Pro duo still features a 48MP main camera sensor, and while the pixels are typically binned to output 12MP images by default, with a new algorithm, iPhone 15 Pro users can now get 24MP images as the default.

With more light gathered and more detail captured, images will look significantly better. Additionally, the camera has a new coating to reduce lens flare.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max boasts a 5x optical zoom lens.
However, the telephoto camera on the iPhone 15 Pro Max has been upgraded to offer 5x optical zoom, a significant improvement over last year’s 3x optical zoom on the iPhone Pro. As a result, this premium phone will deliver enhanced zoom performance along with super-precise optical image stabilization.
Combined with the Apple Vision Pro glasses, the iPhone 15 Pro also features a special “Video Space” mode. By using two of the lenses simultaneously, the phone collects depth data to provide the most beautiful and impressive VR-like video capture experience.

Users can record 4K video at 60 frames per second with Dolby Vision or 30 frames per second in HDR video mode. Notably, filmmakers can shoot ProRes video in 4K resolution at 60 fps with support for external recording…
On the front, the selfie camera remains a 12MP sensor with an f/1.9 aperture, offering 4K video recording at 60 fps with Dolby Vision and other familiar features.
Battery Life
According to Apple, the iPhone 15 Pro Max can offer up to 29 hours of video playback, 25 hours of streaming video playback, and 95 hours of audio playback. The iPhone also supports Qi and Magsafe wireless charging and can fast-charge to 50% in just 30 minutes with a 20-watt charger.
Final Price
The iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at $1,199 for the standard 256GB memory version, while the iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999 for the standard 128GB memory version.
