At first glance, caterpillar fungus may resemble a worm with its various colors and scary appearance, making some people hesitant to try it. However, dishes made from caterpillar fungus are extremely delicious and can captivate many palates.

This fungus thrives in muddy and freshwater areas, only emerging on the water surface when the tide rises. It usually appears on the 5th and 20th of each month.
