8 Early Warning Signs of Brain Tumors
1. Persistent or Unusual Headaches
Headaches are the most common symptom, often occurring in the morning or worsening with change in posture. Headaches caused by brain tumors tend not to respond well to regular painkillers and may be accompanied by nausea or vomiting, especially when the headache becomes severe.
2. Vision Changes
Blurred vision, double vision, or loss of vision in part of your visual field. You may find it difficult to focus your eyes or experience a feeling of having a “blind spot”. These changes usually happen gradually and may go unnoticed.
3. Seizures or Epilepsy
Seizures are a serious sign and can occur in people with no previous history. Seizures may affect the whole body or just a part, such as an arm or leg.

4. Cognitive or Mood Changes
Difficulty concentrating, short-term memory loss, or feeling confused. You may experience personality changes, becoming easily irritable, depressed, or anxious without a clear reason. Decision-making and processing information can also become challenging.
5. Weakness or Numbness in a Body Part
Weakness in the arms, legs, or one side of the body, similar to stroke symptoms. You may experience tingling or prickling sensations in your limbs. Coordination problems such as unsteady walking or difficulty grasping objects can occur.
6. Hearing or Balance Issues
Ringing in the ears, hearing loss in one ear, or a sense of dizziness and loss of balance. You may find it challenging to walk in a straight line or feel a sense of “spinning.”
7. Communication Difficulties
Struggling to speak or understand speech. Forgetting words, slurred speech, or being unable to express your thoughts clearly.
8. Unexplained Nausea and Vomiting
Feeling nauseous or vomiting, especially in the morning or unrelated to digestive issues. This symptom often accompanies headaches or dizziness.

Advice
If you experience any of the above symptoms, especially if they persist or become severe, consult a neurologist immediately. Brain tumor diagnosis often requires methods such as MRI, CT, or biopsy for accuracy. Early detection and timely treatment can significantly improve outcomes.
Note: Symptoms of brain tumors can mimic other health conditions. Avoid self-diagnosis and consult a doctor for an accurate assessment.
