The trekking discipline helps improve health and allows participants to discover many places, but some people may worry about getting their clothes dirty and difficult to clean. Let’s find out how to make clothes clean in an instant in the following article.
1. Washing with lemon
In lemon juice, there is about 5% citric acid and pH ranges from 2-3, making it effective in cleaning clothes. To remove stains from clothes with lemon, you can directly rub lemon slices on the yellow stains or apply one of the two following methods:
- First method: Boil about 4 liters of water with 3-5 lemon slices, then turn off the heat and soak the clothes in the mixture for 1 hour. After that, you can wash the clothes normally.
- Second method: You can dissolve half a cup of lemon juice with some detergent powder, then soak the clothes in the mixture for about 30 minutes and rinse with clean water.
2. Using vinegar to remove yellow stains
Similar to lemon, vinegar has an acidity level of about 5% which is safe for health and ensures thorough removal of stubborn stains on clothes. You can use one of the two following methods to effectively clean clothes with vinegar:
- First method: First, wet the clothes, then use a clean cloth soaked with vinegar to rub on the stains on the clothes and let them dry.
- Second method: You start by mixing water and vinegar in a 2:1 ratio, boiling and letting it cool. Then, you soak the clothes directly in the mixture for 30 minutes and wash them again with detergent.
3. Clean dirty clothes with salt
In salt, there are components that help reduce the adhesion of dirt on clothes and help disperse the dirt into smaller particles in the water. You can apply the following method:
- You dissolve 1-2 teaspoons of salt in a basin of water and soak the clothes in the mixture for 30 minutes. Then, you wash the clothes with detergent as usual.
- You can dissolve salt in hot water and pour it directly onto the stain on the clothes to accelerate the cleaning action of the mixture.
4. Notes when washing trekking clothes
- In the first wash, you should hand wash trekking clothes instead of using a washing machine to avoid wrinkling and damaging the shape of the clothes.
- Avoid washing for too long and using a brush to scrub the clothes as it can cause the fabric to wear out.
- Do not use too many cleaning chemicals while washing to avoid damaging the fabric of the clothes.
- You should wash the clothes with hot water for about 10 minutes, and vigorously scrub them a few times to be clean immediately.
Those are our tips for quickly and effectively cleaning trekking clothes. We hope you will take note so that your trekking clothes are always clean.
