Desperate, Wang’s advisor suggested a final challenge: Thach Sung lacked a humble cooking pot, a relic of his poor past. Thach Sung, realizing his oversight, lost the bet, surrendering his fortune to Wang. He returned to poverty, dying in a shack, his name becoming a proverb for incompleteness.
