Adjust Rewind Speed
This tip is quite useful when you need to rewind a movie or music. The default rewind speed is quite fast, making it difficult to find the specific part you are looking for. You can customize the rewind speed by holding the round dot on the slider and then sliding your finger down to choose a slower speed. After selecting, make sure to continue dragging left or right to rewind.
Use Volume Buttons to Take Photos
You can easily take a photo by pressing the volume up or down buttons on the side of the phone.

End Sentences with the Spacebar
When typing, double-tap the spacebar and the iPhone will automatically insert a period, ending the sentence for you. This feature helps to type faster.
Clearer Calendar View
While using the Calendar app, rotate your iPhone to a landscape orientation. This will provide a more detailed list of your schedule.
Auto Focus and Lighting Lock when Taking Photos
The constant auto-adjustment of focus and brightness while taking photos can be bothersome. To prevent this, simply hold your finger on the screen until a yellow square blinks twice. An icon with the phrase “AE/AF Lock” will appear, indicating that autofocus and exposure are locked. The camera will no longer automatically adjust settings until you’ve taken the photo.
Quickly Add Web Addresses
After typing a web address, hold down the period button on the keyboard. A list of common web suffixes, such as .com, .net, and .edu, will appear. This makes entering web addresses faster and more convenient.

Similar to auto-replace functions in word processors, you can create keyboard shortcuts on your iPhone. For frequently used phrases or words, you can set up abbreviations so that they automatically expand to the full phrase when typed. To create a shortcut, go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Add New Shortcut. Enter the abbreviation and the corresponding full phrase. From then on, whenever you type the abbreviation, the full phrase will be inserted.
Create a Strong Password
By default, the iPhone allows you to use a numeric passcode to unlock your phone. However, you can enhance security by setting a password that includes both letters and numbers. Go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock and turn off “Simple Passcode”. You will be prompted to re-enter your passcode, this time with a full keyboard instead of just numbers. From then on, you will use the full keyboard whenever you unlock your phone.
Set LED Flash Alerts
Instead of relying on vibrations or ringtones, you can set your iPhone to use the LED flash to notify you of messages or calls. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility and turn on “LED Flash for Alerts”. The LED flash will illuminate brightly when you have a new message or call.
