The Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival in Tay Ninh, which took place on the 4th day of Tet, attracted thousands of visitors. The festival, which usually lasts from the beginning to the end of January, welcomes millions of pilgrims from Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in the Mekong Delta region. They come to pray for a peaceful and happy new year and good fortune for themselves and their families, as well as to enjoy the tourist attractions.

Ba Thien Hau Temple Festival (Binh Duong)
The Ba Thien Hau Temple Festival is held annually from the 13th to the 15th of the first lunar month in Binh Duong. On the night of the 13th, the people will prepare offerings and set them up in front of their houses for the next day’s procession.

The procession will take place on the morning of the 14th of the lunar month, following traditional rituals. The palanquin of Ba Thien Hau is carried through the streets, accompanied by lion, dragon, and flag dances.

Tong On Festival (Can Tho)
The Tong On Festival, also known as the Wind Sending Festival, is a traditional prayer for peace festival held annually by fishermen from the 12th to the 14th of the first lunar month. The main rituals, including the Tong On ceremony, take place on the 14th, with various cultural activities that showcase the unique culture of the Mekong Delta.

The festival includes a prayer for peace, offerings to the Lady, the Earth God, and the deceased, as well as a float released into the river and lion dances. In the afternoon of the 14th, hundreds of boats and lion dance troupes will parade on the river, performing a water-sprinkling ritual to drive away bad luck and diseases, and praying for peace and prosperity.
Tet Nguyen Tieu of the Hoa People in Ho Chi Minh City
Tet Nguyen Tieu, or the Lantern Festival, falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month, which is February 12th this year. It is a major festival in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 5, celebrated by the Hoa people. Tet Nguyen Tieu, also known as the Upper Yuan Festival, is commonly referred to as the Lantern Festival, symbolizing happiness, family peace, and national harmony.

The Rước Ông Châu Xương Ceremony, also known as the Nghinh Ông Ceremony, takes place on the 15th day of the first lunar month at the foot of Sam Mountain in Nui Sam Ward, Chau Doc City, An Giang Province. It is a long-standing spiritual activity that contributes to the rich cultural traditions of the region.
