The electric fan is filled with dust on both the blades and the frame after a period of use, reducing its efficiency and affecting the air quality in the room. Taking the fan apart to clean it can be time-consuming. So, to make it easier, here are some tips to clean the fan:
Use white vinegar and a nylon bag
Mix detergent, fabric softener, and white vinegar in a spray bottle, shake well, spray a little on the fan’s heat sink and use a scrub brush to clean this part. Then, spray the homemade cleaning solution on the fan blades, wrap a large nylon bag around the heat sink.
Turn on the fan, the rotating blades create wind that sprays the cleaning mixture, along with the dirt spots on the blades.
In the homemade cleaning solution, the detergent helps remove dirt, the vinegar softens the dirt on the fan, while the fabric softener helps prevent dust from sticking to the fan.
Quickly clean the fan without having to remove the frame or use water
Use toothpaste and a toothbrush
To clean a heavily soiled fan, squeeze about 3cm of toothpaste into a container, add diluted water. Use an old toothbrush to mix the solution evenly, then dip the toothbrush into the mixture and brush directly onto the gaps in the fan blades, following the structure of the mesh.
Be careful not to let water from the toothbrush flow into the electric fan motor.
With these frameless fan cleaning methods, you no longer have to worry about the cleaning process of an electric fan.
Use baking soda
Prepare: 2 teaspoons of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, 250ml of water. In addition, you need dishwashing liquid and a spray bottle.
Mix baking soda with vinegar, add a few drops of dishwashing liquid and stir well to create a foamy mixture and completely dissolve the baking soda powder. Then pour the mixture into the spray bottle, unplug the fan’s power plug and start cleaning.
First, spray the evenly mixed solution onto the front and back of the dirty blades to soften the dirt, clean and kill bacteria.
Wait for about 10 minutes, then plug in and turn on the switch. The rotating blades will create wind that sprays the cleaning mixture around, along with the dirt spots.
Note: To prevent the fan dirt from dirtying the house, you need to place the fan in a suitable place such as the yard, bathroom floor, or cover the fan with a bag to reduce the range of spray.
