The first level of the cleanup battle: Kitchen

Despite our best efforts to maintain the important area of the kitchen, it is still the most exhausting place to clean up.

1. Range hood

Materials/Tools: Soap, toothpaste, white vinegar, dishwashing liquid.

Clean method: Mix an appropriate amount of the above materials with clean water and stir well. Then, spray the mixture on the range hood and wipe it clean with a cloth.

2. Microwave

Materials/Tools: White vinegar.

Method: Pour 80% water into a bowl, add vinegar, heat on high flame for 3-5 minutes, and wipe the inside of the microwave with a cloth.

3. Refrigerator

– Defrosting

Materials/Tools: Fan, hairdryer.

Procedure: Turn off the power, then use a fan or hairdryer pointing into the freezer to the maximum level to help the frost melt, then remove the ice chunks.

– Refrigerator seal

Materials/Tools: White vinegar, dishwashing liquid, cloth.

Procedure: Mix an appropriate amount of white vinegar, dishwashing liquid, and enough water, use a thin cloth to soak the card and then wring out the water, then wrap the card back and wipe the fridge seal to easily clean the dirt on the seal.

– Outside of the refrigerator

Materials/Tools: Toothpaste

Procedure: Squeeze toothpaste onto the surface of the refrigerator and wipe it with a damp cloth.

– Odor removal

Materials/Tools: Lemon/tea leaves/grapefruit peel/baking soda

Procedure: Use lemon, tea leaves, grapefruit peel as natural fragrances to eliminate odors, or place a small bowl of baking soda in the refrigerator.

4. Pots and pans

– Oil stains on the bottom of the pot

Materials/Tools: White vinegar, toothpaste, toothbrush.

Procedure: Mix white vinegar and toothpaste, evenly apply it to the bottom of the pot, use a toothbrush to clean, and then wipe it with a dry cloth. The bottom of the pot will be as clean as new.

– Black deposits on stainless steel pots

Materials/Tools: Pineapple peel, white vinegar.

Procedure: Put the pot in water, add pineapple peels, boil for 20 minutes, remove and rinse after it cools down. Dirt on aluminum pots and utensils can be cleaned with white vinegar on the surface.

– Burnt pot

Materials/Tools: White vinegar, baking soda.

Method: Boil white vinegar and water for 5 minutes, then pour it out and clean it with baking soda while it is still hot. Then, scrub with a brown brush, sponge, or sandpaper. In general, burns can be removed.

– Scale in boiled water pot

Materials/Tools: White vinegar.

Method: Add an appropriate amount of white vinegar to a depth of about 1.5 cm, add water, and bring to a boil. Let it sit for over an hour, drain the water, and clean it with a brush.

– Bamboo chopsticks

Materials/Tools: Baking soda/edible lye, table salt.

Procedure: Boil water, add baking soda/edible lye and salt, put the chopsticks in and cook for about 5 minutes, then remove and rinse with boiling water.

5. Kitchen wall

Materials/Tools: Bread, watermelon rind.

Cleaning method: Kitchen walls often have oil stains, which can be wiped with bread crusts or watermelon rinds.

6. Grease on the floor

Materials/Tools: White vinegar.

Cleaning method: Pour a little white vinegar on a mop stick before mopping the floor to easily remove grease!

7. Sink and faucet

Materials/Tools: Orange peel.

Cleaning method: Grease stains on the sink and faucet are difficult to clean. Orange peels work wonders in removing grease stains. Grind the orange peel and apply it directly to the sink and faucet, then rinse with warm water.

8. Drain

Materials/Tools: White vinegar, baking soda.

Cleaning method: Pour half a cup of baking soda and a cup of white vinegar into the drain to achieve effective unclogging.

Second level of the cleaning operation: Living room

1. White walls

Materials/Tools: White vinegar, paper towel.

Cleaning method: Place a vinegar-soaked paper towel on the area where the watercolor pen was drawn. After 5 minutes, tear off the paper towel and wipe the wall again.

2. Coffee table and tea set

Materials/Tools: Toothpaste.

Cleaning method: Use a thin cloth to dip in a small amount of toothpaste and gently rub it on the tea stains on the cup.

3. Wooden furniture

Materials/Tools: Expired milk.

Cleaning method: Dip a clean cloth into expired milk, then wipe wooden furniture such as sofas, tables, cabinets, and then wipe with clean water to make the wood look shiny and new. (Wooden floors can also be wiped with milk water).

4. Glass windows

Materials/Tools: Alcohol, white vinegar, dishwashing liquid.

Cleaning method: Mix 3 caps of alcohol, 5 caps of white vinegar, 1 large drop of dishwashing liquid, and 500ml of water, pour it into a spray bottle, then spray it on the glass window, and wipe it with a lint-free cloth.

5. Curtains

Materials/Tools: Salt.

Cleaning method: Soak the yellowed curtains in salt overnight, then add laundry detergent to wash. The yellowed curtains will return to white.

6. Glass doors

Materials/Tools: Wine, white vinegar, dishwashing liquid.

Cleaning method: Mix 3 caps of wine, 5 caps of white vinegar, 1 large drop of dishwashing liquid, and 500ml of water, pour it into a spray bottle, then spray it on the glass door, and wipe it with a lint-free cloth.

7. Sofa

– Fabric sofa

Materials/Tools: Alcohol

Cleaning method: Soak the area with pen and ink stains in alcohol for about 3 minutes, then wipe it clean.

– Leather sofa

Materials/Tools: Leather cleaner/Expired milk.

Cleaning method: Choose professional leather cleaner or expired milk.

8. Carpet

Materials/Tools: Salt.

Cleaning method: Sprinkle salt on the stained area, wait until the salt surface is wet and absorbs, and then use a vacuum cleaner to suck the carpet. The salt sticks to the dirt will be sucked away, and the carpet will be clean.

9. Dirt in tile gaps

Materials/Tools: Toothpaste, carbonated water, toothbrush.

Cleaning method: Dissolve an appropriate amount of toothpaste in the ionic water, and spray it onto the gaps in the tiles with a water sprayer or use a toothbrush dipped in toothpaste to scrub the gaps in the tiles.

The third level of the cleaning operation: Bedroom

In addition to the kitchen and living room, the places where we sleep and bathe also need to be cleaned.

1. Bed linen

Materials/Tools: Rice water.

Cleaning method: Soak the bed linen, duvet cover, etc. in rice water overnight, then add detergent to wash to restore whiteness.

2. Toilet

Materials/Tools: White vinegar, baking soda, carbonated water.

Cleaning method: Mix white vinegar and baking soda in a ratio of 1:1, spray around the toilet, wait for half an hour, and then clean it easily. In addition, pour a can of carbonated water into the toilet and flush it after an hour… The citric acid in the carbonated water will remove the dirt on the toilet.

3. Tile

Materials/Tools: Toothpaste/baking soda.

Cleaning method: Use a toothbrush that is not used with an appropriate amount of toothpaste or baking soda to remove stains on the tiles.

4. Showerhead

Materials/Tools: White vinegar, plastic bag.

5. Sink

Materials/Tools: Disinfectant, paper towel.

Cleaning method: Roll the moisture-treated paper towel with 84% disinfectant into a strip shape, then stick it to the moldy area on the edge of the sink. After staying overnight, you will see the magic.

6. Washing machine
