In this cold weather, many women may find cleaning food storage containers or air fryers more challenging than ever. Despite washing with hot water, sometimes the feeling of oil and grease residue is still present, causing frustration. In this article, we will suggest two extremely simple and time-saving methods to keep your plastic container or air fryer clean and spotless.
How to clean greasy plastic containers
This is probably the nightmare we all share!
To clean a greasy plastic container like this, you just need to add a little water, 2-3 paper towels, and a little dish soap into the container. Then, close the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds. By doing so, all the oil and grease residue will be removed from the plastic container. Finally, rinse it once with water.
This way, there won’t be any oil or grease residue left on the plastic container
How to clean an air fryer
This is also a “very important” nightmare!
Cleaning an air fryer after frying or grilling food has become a nightmare for women, not only because of the oil and grease, but also because of the burnt bits sticking to the baking tray. Additionally, the size of the baking tray and the large chamber of the air fryer make cleaning this appliance more cumbersome than ever.
However, there is always a way for everything. To clean an air fryer, simply pour about 200ml of water into the chamber along with some dish soap. Then, turn on the air fryer, select a temperature of 370°F (about 187°C), and set the timer for 5 minutes.
Oil, food residue will effortlessly come off without the need for scrubbing
Finally, just rinse the baking tray and the chamber once more, and your air fryer will be completely clean.
Important note when cleaning an air fryer: After removing the food from the air fryer, wait for it to cool completely before cleaning. No matter how you clean the air fryer, always wait for it to cool down to avoid a significant temperature difference. Even if you clean the air fryer with 100°C hot water, there is still a large temperature difference between the water and the air fryer, usually at a range of 180-200°C.
