Place a bottle in the toilet tank to effectively eliminate odors
First, you need to clean the bathroom, sanitize, and remove residue using cleaning agents and brushes as usual.
Then, take a bottle of mineral water. Fill the bottle with water about 2/3 full, then add a little toilet cleaner and stir well.
Use a sharp object to drill two small holes in the bottle body.
Open the toilet tank lid and place the water bottle inside, then close the lid and use it as usual.
When the water in the toilet tank is not moving, the water in the plastic bottle will not flow out. When you flush the water, the toilet cleaner can flow along and mix with the water in the toilet tank. This toilet cleaner has the effect of disinfection, deodorization, and insect prevention.
Therefore, every time you flush the toilet with toilet cleaner, the toilet will not have any odor, and the cost to make this solution is very cheap.
Placing a water bottle in the toilet tank helps save water
You need to prepare a large plastic bottle (or two glass beer bottles) and some pebbles or sand.
Lift up the toilet tank lid.
Pour the filled beer bottle into the toilet tank. Because the beer bottle is made of glass and contains water inside, its weight is quite heavy, enough to ensure that they do not float on the water surface. You just need to place 2 bottles into the toilet tank vertically.
If using a plastic bottle, you should put some pebbles or sand into the bottle. Then fill the bottle with water and tightly close the cap. Put the plastic bottle into the water tank of the toilet. If the plastic bottle is not floating, it is fine.
In reality, each toilet tank can hold from 3-6 liters of water. However, the amount of water flushes after using the restroom is usually more than normal, causing waste. With this method, when placing beer bottles/plastic bottles in the toilet tank, the volume of the bottle will replace some of the water in the tank and save a significant amount of water.
To ensure that the toilet is always clean and not clogged, you should avoid throwing waste such as food paper, cigarette butts, or leftover food in the toilet.
To clean and eliminate odors from the toilet, besides using cleaning agents, you can use some readily available ingredients in the house that are safe for health:
– Use vinegar: Vinegar has the ability to eliminate odors and clean very effectively. You just need to pour vinegar directly into the areas with stains and scrub with a brush to clean.
– Use lemons: You can use about 3 squeezed lemons and pour the juice into the toilet. Cover the toilet lid and leave it like that for at least an hour before flushing the water. Doing this ensures that the bathroom will no longer have any unpleasant odors.
