You can fold a t-shirt in just 2 seconds. But you can’t do that with a button-up shirt. Moreover, you have to fold it in such a way that it doesn’t wrinkle and it can’t be rushed.
To be able to fold a button-up shirt with perfect buttoning and smooth creases like you just bought it from a store and it turns out it’s not that difficult nor time-consuming as you might think! All you need to prepare is a magazine and follow the instructions below:
Spread the shirt out on a flat surface, after buttoning the shirt back up again for the shape, then turn the shirt over, spread it out again. Place the magazine in the center of the shirt, right below the collar.
Fold one side of the shirt up onto the magazine, then fold the sleeve so that the fold edge does not exceed the edge of the magazine.
Repeat the same steps with the remaining part of the shirt. Fold the lower part of the shirt up at the 1/3 position, then fold it one more time to fit snugly with the magazine.
Remove the magazine. Flip the shirt back over! And the shirt is now as smooth as if it had just been picked up from the dry cleaners!
