Step 1 Dampen the glass with water (pour water into the glass and then pour it out to moisten the inside).

Step 2 Place the mouth of the glass over the sugar spill. Hold the glass and rub it back and forth vigorously over the sugar stain. Lift the glass and notice that the sugar has been “sucked” into the walls of the glass. Repeat this process until the entire sugar spill is gone.

This method works because the damp glass causes the sugar to stick to its walls, making it easy to remove the mess.

You can apply this method to similar situations, such as spilling coffee, juice, or sauce on the carpet!
