A video of Trấn Thành driving a luxury car to a street food stall to enjoy some chicken rice has gone viral on Tiktok, with the handle Xoiga315.

One user commented: “I’m not a fan of Trấn Thành, but it’s a fact that any eatery he frequents must be serving delicious food. I didn’t believe it at first, but after trying it out, I have to agree.”

The stall, which has been operating since 2000, mainly caters to regular customers from the vicinity. Their menu features the familiar savory chicken rice of Ho Chi Minh City, with a variety of toppings such as char siu, chicken hearts, thighs, skin, young eggs, and lap cheong. The most popular choices are the “full option” and “combination” chicken rice, which include chicken skin and young eggs. Prices start at 30,000 VND per serving, and additional toppings range from 5,000 to 25,000 VND each.

The rice is cooked with fragrant sticky rice, known for its soft and sticky texture. It is accompanied by a variety of toppings, primarily made from high-quality chicken, resulting in a flavorful and tasty dish. The dish also includes fragrant fried shallots, fatty scallion oil, and buttery pate, preventing the rice from becoming cloying. After loading up on toppings, the stall owner generously drizzles a special sauce made from chicken bone broth, ensuring the dish stays moist.

Trấn Thành ordered the chicken rice combination with young eggs and chicken skin, priced at 45,000 VND. Some diners who followed his lead described the rice as fragrant with pandan leaves, shallots, and shredded chicken, while the chicken skin was crisp, and the special sauce added a nice touch. For a heartier meal, opt for the “full option” with additional chicken thighs (80,000 VND), which includes a variety of offal, such as chewy and crispy fried chicken gizzards. The regular chicken rice combination, the most affordable option at 30,000 VND, does not include young eggs and chicken skin. The stall only offers takeout, but it remains popular, especially after Trấn Thành’s visit went viral.
