His role as Kiệt in Sticky Rice elevated his career to new heights. Audiences were captivated by the character, debating whether Kiệt was a pitiable husband or a weak-willed man.

Beyond television, Trung Dũng has left his mark in cinema with his portrayal of the ambitious Khanh in Face Off: The Ultimate Deal and an detestable antagonist in the 2024 film 7 Years, Not Married? – Secret Love, the Vietnamese adaptation of Secret Love. Even at the age of 51, he took on the role of a grandfather and managed to captivate audiences with his unique charm and presence.

These days, Trung Dũng takes on fewer acting projects, focusing instead on his YouTube channel about cuisine, theater performances, and guest appearances on television programs. He continues to prioritize his physical and mental well-being by working out daily, even in his late forties.

A Private Life: Unraveling the Mystery of His Love Life

Trung Dũng prefers to keep his personal life private and focuses on his fitness.

The actor is notoriously private about his personal life. In an appearance on the show “1 tiếng kể hết,” he revealed that he was once married but divorced in 2016. His ex-wife and child now reside in the United States. She used to be one of his biggest fans.

According to Trung Dũng, his ex-wife is not involved in the entertainment industry and leads a quiet life. They agreed to keep each other’s information confidential to avoid disruptions in their lives.

Following his divorce, Trung Dũng embraced the single life, keeping his personal life under wraps while focusing on his career. He once shared that a heartbreak at the age of 45 had left him in immense emotional pain, and he had no desire to go through such an experience again.

During the promotion of Face Off: The Ultimate Deal in 2023, Trung Dũng shared: “I went through a three-month heartbreak with a girlfriend who was 20 years my junior.” Eventually, they reconciled and continued their relationship. At the time, he shared that they were still together and had been living together for ten years. According to Trung Dũng, his girlfriend worked in education for a foreign company and had no interest in marriage or formal commitments.
