Ingredients

Beer, any kind will do, even leftovers from last night!

Laundry detergent

White sugar, and water

A knife to cut the plastic bottle

Method

1, Using the knife, carefully cut the bottle into two parts, so the length of the top part (with the neck) is about 1/3 of the bottle’s total height.

2, Take the bottom part of the bottle and pour in some beer, about 1/3 of its volume.

3, Add laundry detergent in powder form to the beer. This will ensure the mosquitoes are killed when they enter the trap.

4, Sprinkle in some white sugar to attract the mosquitoes.

5, Add a small amount of water and stir the mixture with a wooden stick.

6, Invert the top part of the bottle and place it on top of the bottom part, creating a funnel effect.

7, Place these traps in areas where mosquitoes are most active, such as corners of rooms, under furniture, etc. The mosquitoes will be lured into the bottle and won’t be able to escape.

Alternatively, you can also use a mixture of beer, sugar, laundry detergent, and baking soda. This mixture will also effectively attract and trap mosquitoes.

Other Mosquito Repelling Methods

Lemon and Clove

Ingredients:

A few lemons

Dried cloves (available at herbal medicine shops)

Method:

1, Cut the lemons in half horizontally.

2, Take a reasonable amount of dried cloves and insert the stems into the lemon halves, among the juicy segments.

3, Place the cloves evenly and densely across the lemon halves. Repeat this process for the remaining lemon halves.

If you have a large space, you can prepare more lemon halves and place them in various corners of your home, such as the living room, dining room, bathroom, or any other area where mosquitoes are prevalent. For a neater presentation, you can place the lemon halves in small bowls.

Lemongrass and White Rum

Ingredients:

10-12 lemongrass stalks

200ml white rum

200ml filtered water

Method:

1, Soak the lemongrass in rum for 3 days.

2, After 3 days, blend the lemongrass and rum together and strain the mixture to obtain the liquid.

3, Pour the resulting lemongrass oil into a small jar and insert a dry bamboo stick to use it as a diffuser.

Candles in Orange Peels

Ingredients:

Peels of 2-3 oranges

Candles

Method:

1, After eating the oranges, keep the peels.

2, Attach the candles to the orange peels and light them as usual. Place them in hidden corners of your house.

3, If you want a stronger fragrance, make small cuts in the other half of the orange peel and cover it. Burning this orange peel candle for an hour before bedtime will be highly effective in repelling mosquitoes.
