Pepper prices in the domestic market today ranged from 76,000 – 78,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg in key growing areas compared to the same period yesterday morning.
Specifically, the latest pepper prices in the following provinces:
- Gia Lai: 76,000 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg
- Dong Nai: 76,000 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg
- Dak Lak, Dak Nong: 77,000 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg
- Binh Phuoc: 77,500 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg
- Ba Ria – Vung Tau: 78,500 VND/kg, the highest, up 1,000 VND/kg
According to experts, domestic demand will increase in August 2021 as export companies buy more to make up for the shortage of pepper reserves in their warehouses. Pepper prices are expected to soon reach the 80,000 VND/kg mark this August.

In the global market today, as of 0:15 on August 6, the spot price of pepper at the Kochi, India exchange was 41,375 Rupees/ton (highest) and 41,350 Rupees/ton (lowest), slightly higher than the previous session.
The State Bank of Vietnam’s applicable foreign exchange rate for import and export duties, valid from August 5-11, 2021, is 312.13 VND/INR.
