The Vast Island, Dubbed the “Rough Gem” of Quang Ninh

The island’s name, Ngọc Vừng, originates from a rare species of pearl. These pearls would illuminate the sky when night fell. In ancient times, it was said that passing ships could see the radiant glow of the sea pearls surrounding the island, hence the name Ngọc Vừng, which translates to “Pearl Island.” Although pearl harvesting no longer exists today, the island’s serenity and pristine beauty remain as a rare “shining gem” amidst the bay.

Ngọc Vừng Island is located in Vân Đồn District, Quang Ninh Province, approximately 50km from Vân Đồn pier.
