Lauren Humphreys shared on TikTok the unique story of her sisters’ names, which consecutively follow the English alphabet with the letters JKLMNO. The video garnered over 3.3 million views and thousands of comments.
She explained that she has two older sisters, Jolene and Kelsie. As the third child, Lauren’s parents chose a name beginning with the letter ‘L’ for her. The fourth child, a boy named Matthew, continued the alphabetical trend. “If Matthew had been a girl, my parents would have named him Molly,” Lauren revealed.

After Matthew, the family welcomed two more members, Nolan and Olivia, completing the sequence. “I feel a special bond with my sisters because of this quirk. We’re known as the alphabet sisters,” Lauren shared.
In a wedding photo of Nolan and his bride, the six sisters posed creatively, each bending their body to form the initial of their name.
“We’re all married now. We’ve had these alphabet poses at each other’s weddings. Photographers always find it interesting,” Lauren said.
While Lauren loves this naming tradition, she admitted that none of the sisters have continued the practice with their own children.
