Fish: Different types of fish can be stored in the cool compartment for 1-3 days. However, make sure to wrap it properly to prevent any strong odors from affecting other foods. Oily fish like salmon and tuna can be kept in the freezer for 2-3 months, while leaner fish like cod and sole can be stored for 6-8 months.

Poultry: A whole chicken can be stored in the freezer for up to a year. However, if it’s cut into pieces, the storage time should not exceed nine months.

Ground Meat: Ground beef, chicken, pork, or lamb can be kept in the cool compartment for about two days before it starts turning a bit gray. These products can also be stored for up to four months if frozen.

Eggs: The rules and storage times for eggs vary depending on their state. You can keep raw eggs in the cool compartment for 3-5 weeks. Separated raw egg whites can be frozen and kept for about a year. Hard-boiled eggs will stay safe to eat for up to a week when stored in the cool compartment.

Seafood: Fresh crab and lobster meat can be stored in the cool compartment for 2-4 days and in the freezer for 2-4 months. Live clams, mussels, and oysters should not be frozen but can be kept in the cool compartment for 5-10 days. Squid can be frozen for 2-4 months.
