In the past few days, the photos taken by Ms. Bui Kim Ngan (32 years old, Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province) among the purple mua flowers have fascinated many people.
Ms. Ngan shared that these photos were taken in late December 2024 at the Oolong Tang Vinh An and Phu Sy tea plantations. These two plantations are located close to each other in Loc Quang commune, Bao Lam district, Lam Dong province.
Prior to her visit, Ms. Ngan had seen photos and videos of the purple mua flowers at the Oolong Tang Vinh An plantation shared by her friends. Captivated by the picturesque scenery, she and a friend from Ho Chi Minh City decided to visit and take some photos themselves.

“The road to the plantation is mostly paved with concrete and asphalt, making it accessible for cars to reach the site. However, the last few hundred meters leading to the tea hills are unpaved and can get muddy during rainy days,” Ms. Ngan advised.
As she approached the plantation, Ms. Ngan was delighted to catch glimpses of the purple mua flowers intertwining with the lush green tea hills from a distance. Walking through the rows of purple flowers, she felt as if she had stepped into a fairy tale.
On the day of her visit, several young people were also drawn to the location for photo opportunities. Given the vast area, each group was able to find their own unique spot without interfering with others.
Ms. Ngan and her friend were thrilled to witness the beauty of the purple mua flowers firsthand
According to Ms. Ngan, “The plantation welcomes visitors to freely explore and take photos. The tea pickers working there were very friendly and chatted with us. In return for their hospitality, we made sure to maintain cleanliness and hoped that other visitors would do the same to preserve the beauty of the place.”
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuong Vy, Deputy Director of Tang Vinh An Company, shared that the purple mua flowers were planted by the plantation four years ago. They are carefully tended to, just like the Oolong tea plants. As a result, the flowers bloom beautifully and are relatively pest-free.

“We planted the purple mua and wall roses to enhance the aesthetics of the plantation. This year, the mua flowers are in full bloom, while the wall roses have yet to blossom.
The Thai mua flowers bloom all year round, but they reach their peak in April and December. Each blooming season lasts for about 45 to 50 days,” shared Ms. Vy.
Ms. Vy also commended the young visitors for their sense of responsibility and consideration. She noted that they parked their vehicles neatly and avoided interfering with the tea harvesting process.
“On weekends, especially around 10 a.m., the plantation is bustling with visitors. The flowers are at their freshest, the sun is shining brightly, and our tea pickers are happy to chat and share stories,” Ms. Vy excitedly added.
Ms. Vy expressed her pride in knowing that the scenery of the plantation is appreciated by many. In addition to the purple mua flowers, visitors can also admire the verdant Oolong tea hills and breathe in the fresh air.
