A burnt pot with a charred bottom after a kitchen “accident.”

Use baking soda and white vinegar in a 1:1 ratio and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes or until the water has evaporated. Note: Keep the heat low.

Turn off the heat and rinse the pot with cold water to remove the baking soda residue from the bottom.

Use a soft sponge to gently scrub the softened burnt area. The charred residue can now be easily removed without excessive force or risk of damaging the pot’s bottom.

With just a few simple steps, the burnt pot is transformed and restored to its original, spotless condition.
