ASICS recently hosted an immersive retreat, bringing together a diverse group of women from different nationalities, ethnicities, and body types. The retreat embodied the brand’s philosophy of “Sound Mind in a Sound Body,” offering a range of carefully curated activities aimed at nurturing both physical and mental well-being.

The retreat commenced with an invigorating sunrise run led by ASICS Global Frontrunners, including Ania Gabb, Nina Ashton, Prakriti Dutta, and ultra-marathoner Natalie Dau. This energizing start not only set the tone for the day but also emphasized the role of movement in fostering mental wellness.

In addition to physical activities, the retreat featured a “Let Go” ceremony and a crystal mandala meditation practice. The “Let Go” ceremony encouraged participants to release self-doubt and embrace self-improvement, while the crystal mandala meditation provided a space for introspection, enhancing self-awareness and emotional clarity.

Team-building challenges, such as the “high-five” push-up, flag creation, and Karuta Tori game, fostered a sense of camaraderie and highlighted the importance of community in building mental resilience. Hydotherapy offered a tranquil experience, allowing guests to unwind and rejuvenate.

The retreat also incorporated artistic and sustainable workshops like Furoshiki Eco-print fabric printing and Japanese Sashiko hand embroidery. These experiences stimulated creativity, honed expressive skills, and cultivated mindfulness—an essential aspect of holistic self-care.
