Use Coffee Beans: Coffee beans are effective at absorbing unpleasant odors in plastic containers. After cleaning the container, place a few coffee beans inside and tightly close the lid. After a few hours, remove the lid and the smell will be gone.
Try Newspaper: Crumpled newspaper can also help eliminate odors in plastic containers. Simply place the newspaper inside the container after cleaning, close the lid, and leave it overnight. The next morning, the container should be odor-free.
Use Charcoal: Adding a piece of charcoal to the plastic container can absorb lingering smells. Close the lid and leave it for at least 6 hours. The charcoal will help eliminate any unwanted odors.
Use Lime: To remove strong odors, rub a slice of lime all over the inside of the container. This will help eliminate the smell and leave a fresh scent.
Try Baking Soda: Create a thick paste by mixing 3 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of water. Apply the paste inside the container, leave it overnight, and then rinse it with clean water the next day. This will remove any lingering odors.
Freeze the Container: After cleaning the plastic container, wipe it dry, cover it, and place it in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours. The cold temperature will help eliminate any remaining smells.
