Step 1: Prepare the ingredients for the soup

Marinate the minced meat with 1 tablespoon of seasoning powder for 15 minutes. Split the diếp thơm, remove the yellowed leaves.

Then, rinse it thoroughly and soak it in diluted saltwater for about 10-15 minutes to make it cleaner. Rinse the tomatoes, and remove their stems. Rinse the scallions. Cut a small part of the scallion head and sauté it to release its aroma.

Step 2: Cook the minced meat and diếp thơm soup

Place a pan on the stove, add a little cooking oil. When the oil is hot, add the scallion into the pan (you can substitute it with purple onion). Then add the minced meat and stir-fry until the meat is evenly flavored. When the meat is almost cooked, add a little salt and tomatoes. Stir well until the tomatoes become soft. Add some water and bring it to a boil, then taste and adjust the seasoning.

When the soup starts to boil and the tomatoes are soft, add the diếp thơm and stir well.
