Morning skincare routine plays an important role in improving facial skin and protecting against early aging risks. The morning routine is not too complicated, but you should not do it arbitrarily and need to follow some basic steps. Below is the sequence of 5 steps of morning skincare that women should remember.

Cleansing

According to experts, washing your face in the morning can reduce the amount of bacteria on your skin, thereby helping to remove dirt, excess oil and accumulated bacteria on your skin after a night’s sleep. Therefore, your skin will become clear, ready to absorb nutrients from other skincare products. Another tip is instead of choosing a harsh facial cleanser, women should use a gentle cleanser, especially those who have sensitive skin, dry skin or rosacea. A gentle facial cleanser will limit skin irritation and help maintain moisture.

Toner

Toner is a basic skincare step that brings many benefits to the skin such as balancing pH, providing immediate moisture, shrinking pores, and helping the skin absorb other skincare products. You should use toner after cleansing. Depending on your skin type and current issues, you can choose a suitable toner for your skin. If you have dull skin, prioritize a brightening toner with ingredients such as niacinamide, vitamin C, licorice extract… Choose ingredients like salicylic acid, tea tree essence to control sebum, effectively prevent acne.

Serum with antioxidant

Women should use serums with antioxidants, especially vitamin C, because it will neutralize free radicals, thereby preventing early signs of aging such as wrinkles, sagging skin, dark spots…

The order to apply serum is after cleansing and toning, the skin can easily absorb the concentrated essence from the serum, and skin issues can be quickly and effectively resolved.

Moisturizer

After using the toner and serum, you need to “lock in” the essence, moisture by applying moisturizer to reduce dryness and strengthen the skin’s protective barrier.

In winter, moisturizer becomes more important as it helps you maintain a plump, radiant skin regardless of the dry weather. The choice of moisturizer will depend on your skin type, but you should prioritize moisturizers that do not contain mineral oil, do not clog pores to avoid clogged, acne-prone skin.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is the final product that helps protect your skin from UV rays – the leading cause of premature aging. Applying sunscreen regularly every day, regardless of the weather, will help you have smooth, healthy skin. Use a product with a minimum SPF of 30 to prevent both UVA and UVB rays and effectively protect your skin.
