Pizza is a favorite dish that many children love. However, buying pizza at a restaurant is relatively expensive and often requires waiting, especially during peak times when demand may not be fully met by the establishment. That’s why making pizza at home can be a very enjoyable experience. Don’t worry about the tools needed to make pizza, all you need is a non-stick pan and a few chopsticks, and you can make pizza at home.
Preparing the ingredients
To make pizza, we need ingredients for the crust and ingredients for the toppings.
Ingredients for the crust: 500g flour, 1 packet of yeast, olive oil, cheese according to taste, water, tomato sauce, chili sauce
Toppings: onions, seafood, sausages, beef, tomatoes, bell peppers… depending on your preference, shredded cheese, oregano leaves
Step 1: Making the dough
Sift the flour to remove any large particles. Mix the flour with the yeast, cooking oil, a pinch of salt, a bit of sugar, and gradually add in warm water to make a smooth dough. Add the water slowly to avoid adding too much. Usually, 150g of flour requires about 100ml of water. Mix everything thoroughly and transfer the dough to a large bowl. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest and rise.
The dough needs about 2 hours to rise. It should spring back when pressed.
Step 2: Making the crust:
After the dough has risen, roll it out into a round shape that fits the size of your frying pan or pan. Leave some dough on the edges to fold and create a nice crust, and create a slight depression in the center to hold the toppings without overflowing. The thickness of the crust can be adjusted to your preference. Typically, the crust should be about 5mm thick. Use a fork or a sharp object to poke holes evenly on the surface of the dough to prevent it from puffing up or bursting while baking.
Step 3: Making the toppings
Depending on the toppings you want, cut onions, bell peppers, sausages, tomatoes, seafood, etc. into small pieces. Place the toppings evenly on the dough and sprinkle cheese on top. It’s recommended to sprinkle cheese between the toppings to prevent them from falling off during baking.
Step 4: Baking the pizza
Baking with a non-stick pan: Baking pizza with a non-stick pan is very simple. To ensure the crust is crispy and the cheese doesn’t melt, you can pre-bake the crust.
Put a layer of oil on the pan, heat it up, then place the crust on it and bake until the top is golden and crispy, avoiding over-baking to prevent the crust from becoming dry. Once the crust is baked, add the toppings, cover the pan, and continue baking until the bottom of the crust is golden and crispy and the cheese melts.
Baking in an oil-free air fryer: Place the pizza in the air fryer, set the temperature to about 180 degrees Celsius, and bake for 10 minutes. Check if the pizza is cooked through.
Baking pizza in the microwave oven: Put the pizza in the oven, turn on the Grill mode, and bake for about 20 minutes until the pizza is cooked.
Making pizza at home is really easy, isn’t it? Let’s make it for the whole family to enjoy.
Note: To ensure the pizza tastes good after baking, let it rest for a few minutes before cutting. The ingredients should be fresh for the pizza to taste delicious. Cheese and oregano leaves are important seasonings that give the pizza its distinctive flavor.
