Phenomenon of Hair Damage after Dyeing

Dry and Brittle Hair:

When you touch it, you won’t feel the smoothness of the hair, instead, you will feel rough and dry strands. The ends of the hair are split, and the shaft is cracked and broken.

Excessive Hair Loss:

After waking up, while washing or combing the hair… even lightly stroking the hair, you will notice a significant amount of hair loss.

Tangling Easily:

Dry hair is prone to tangling and is difficult to detangle. If you use a comb, it will be painful and the hair will break and fall out.

Having dry and brittle hair after dyeing is inevitable. The chemicals in hair dyes can cause damage, quick drying, and brittleness to the hair. If you dye your hair frequently without proper hair care, these conditions can worsen.

Hair is not only affected by chemicals but also by heat. High heat can destroy the natural protective layer of the hair. As a result, the hair loses nutrients, moisture, weakens, and becomes dry and brittle. Moreover, hair dyes can also damage the scalp, causing itchiness and dandruff.

Hair Care Tips

Shampooing:

Shampooing is a crucial step in hair care. After dyeing your hair, using regular shampoos can make your hair even drier. Choose shampoos specifically designed for colored or styled hair. These shampoos often contain beneficial nutrients such as antioxidants or ingredients that protect against environmental damage, helping to keep your hair soft, smooth, shiny, and long-lasting.

Prefer shampoos that contain high moisturizing ingredients such as coconut oil, almond oil, and biotin. It is recommended to use shampoo, conditioner, hair masks, and hair moisturizers from the same product line.

Do not shampoo more than 3 times a week. Over-shampooing can strip away the natural oils that provide moisture to the hair.

Wash your hair with cool water to protect it from temperature damage. Avoid scratching the scalp with your nails and vigorously rubbing the hair.

When using conditioner, avoid applying it directly to the scalp. Conditioners have a dense texture, are moisturizing, and contain many nutrients. After shampooing, gently dry your hair with a clean, soft towel.

Hair Protection:

Protect your hair from sunlight and environmental pollution by wearing a hat/cap to cover your hair when going outside. Especially, limit the use of heat styling tools such as hair dryers, curling irons, straighteners…

The minimum time interval between hair dyeing should be 6 months, avoid frequent hair dyeing.

Every week, nourish your hair with a hair mask to provide regular moisture. You can use specialized hair masks or make homemade masks with available ingredients like bananas, butter, eggs, yogurt…
