This body oil contains shea butter, argan oil, and rose water to moisturize and soothe dry skin.

Rose water helps maintain the pH balance of the skin, reduce redness, and has a wonderful scent. Rose water is a skincare step that helps remove the last traces of dirt, makeup residue, and impurities trapped in the user’s pores after cleansing. Rose water also provides many benefits when incorporated into daily skincare routine, it has a significant positive effect on tightening pores, helping to restore the skin’s pH after cleansing (most facial cleansers are alkaline), smoothing the skin by removing rough and flaky patches of skin, and improving skin tone.

Shea butter, with its high concentration of fatty acids and vitamins, is an ideal skincare ingredient for softening the skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory properties and promotes wound healing.

Almond oil has excellent moisturizing and sealing properties to keep the skin hydrated for longer. Almond oil is a rich source of skin-friendly nutrients and minerals. These properties make almond oil protective to the skin and promote the skin’s regeneration process.

Argan oil, containing high levels of vitamin E, and bergamot essential oil help reduce irritation and balance skin issues.

In particular, emulsifying wax and vegetable glycerin help combine everything together into a creamy mixture.

If you don’t want to use rose water scent, simply skip rose water entirely and use distilled water instead.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons emulsifying wax

2 tablespoons almond oil

3 tablespoons shea butter

1 tablespoon argan oil

1 cup rose water

1 tablespoon vegetable glycerin

10 drops bergamot essential oil

Instructions:

Combine emulsifying wax, almond oil, shea butter, and argan oil in a saucepan, heat over low heat until melted. Turn off the heat and let it cool for one or two minutes. Add rose water and vegetable glycerin and whisk the mixture as it cools. It will thicken quickly.

Once the mixture has a creamy consistency like a moisturizer, add bergamot essential oil.

To use, apply a quarter-sized amount just before stepping out of the shower (it’s best to avoid direct contact with water to avoid rinsing off too soon). As the mixture absorbs within seconds, gently wipe off any excess oil and pat dry with a towel.
