At 60 years old, Jesse has successfully shed 20 kilograms over a 10-month journey, transforming her physical appearance. Her new slender figure has earned her compliments for looking youthful and energetic. Jesse confessed that she had struggled with weight loss for many years, losing a little only to gain it back. However, in late May of last year, she committed to taking her transformation seriously. When asked about her secret, Jesse emphasizes the importance of portion control: “Eat less and maintain your taste preferences.”

The Taiwanese editor has been praised for looking younger after her weight loss success.

On the show ‘Women Are the Biggest’, Jesse shared that she followed her doctor’s advice and drastically reduced her consumption of sugary drinks and gave up her beloved fried chicken.

Jesse’s colleagues revealed that she used to be able to finish two bento boxes and drink at least two cups of bubble tea during a filming session. The astrology expert loved fried chicken so much that her birthday cake was made of stacked fried chicken pieces. Nowadays, Jesse mostly avoids oily, deep-fried foods and opts for pan-fried chicken instead.

Jesse admitted that since adapting to a low-oil and low-sugar diet, she has experienced reduced cravings, feeling lighter and having improved digestion.

Bubble tea is notoriously high in sugar and calories, leading to excess calorie intake, weight gain, increased visceral fat, and abdominal obesity when consumed frequently. Deep-fried foods like french fries and fried chicken are not only calorie-dense but also tend to be “addictive,” stimulating appetite. Regular consumption of these foods contributes to inflammation, increasing the risk of obesity and accelerating the aging process.
