MobiFone, VinaPhone, and Viettel all require mandatory subscriber information standardization for all users. If you have not yet standardized the subscriber information for your phone number, please read and follow FPT Shop’s detailed instructions in the following article.

SIM cards with incorrect information will be blocked starting from January 31st

According to the information released, subscribers with personal information that does not match the information stored in the national network operator’s database will be unidirectionally blocked. Subscribers will continue to be blocked bidirectionally if they do not update their standardized subscriber information. Currently, there are over 3 million subscribers whose information does not match the data, meaning they need to urgently standardize their subscriber information.

To remind users to standardize their information, network operators will continuously send reminders daily for about 5 days. Subscribers’ outgoing calls will be blocked unidirectionally if they do not update their information within 15 days after receiving the notification, and bidirectionally if they continue to not update it after the next 15 days.

How to standardize MobiFone subscriber information

For customers using MobiFone phones who have not standardized their information, they will receive a message from the station reminding them of the subscriber information standardization process and guidance on how to do it as described below.

Method 1: Do it directly at the nearest MobiFone store

You can find the nearest MobiFone store by accessing the website: www.mobifone.vn, then select “Support” and choose “Find a store”. Enter your “Province/City” and “District/Town” where you live to view the list of MobiFone stores nearby.

Note: When you go, please bring personal identification documents so that the staff can quickly standardize the subscriber information for you at the counter.

Method 2: Do it on the My MobiFone app

Step 1: Search for the “My MobiFone” app on the App Store or Google Play. After downloading the app, open it and log in with the phone number you want to register. An OTP code will be automatically sent to that phone number.

Step 2: On the main interface of the app, select “More” at the bottom right corner of the screen, then choose “Customer Information”. Check the subscriber information by selecting “Subscriber Information”. After completion, select “Register Information” to update the subscriber’s information.

Step 3: The system will send an OTP code to the phone number you used to register. Check the message for the OTP code and enter it in the My MobiFone app to continue updating the subscriber information.

Step 4: Take photos of both sides of your personal identification documents (ID card or passport) and a portrait photo. Sign on the app’s screen, then select “Continue”.

Step 5: The personal information on your documents will be extracted by the AI system. Double-check your subscriber information and supplement it if necessary, then check the box to agree to the commitment and confirm.

Step 6: After completing all the steps, the system will ask you to enter the OTP code again to finalize the subscriber information update.

Method 3: Do it online on the website

Step 1: Open the link https://tttb.mobifone.vn/. Enter the phone number of the subscriber you want to update the information for, then select “Continue”.

Step 2: The system will automatically send an OTP code to the phone number entered above. Enter the OTP code and select “Continue”.

Step 3: Proceed to update the personal identification document images, including both sides of the document and a portrait photo. Then select “Upload”. The system will scan and automatically extract the information from the images.

Step 4: Confirm the extracted personal information from step 3, including full name, gender, date of birth, ID card number, issuing authority, and date of issue. After checking that all the information is correct, sign in the “Signature” box, then select “Agree”.

Step 5: To complete the standardized subscriber information update, select “Verify Information”.

Method 4: Standardize directly at a VinaPhone store

You can find the nearest VinaPhone transaction point and bring all the required personal identification documents there to be assisted by the staff in standardizing and updating the subscriber information.

Subscriber information standardization is the process of ensuring that subscriber data is consistent and accurate across different network providers. This is important because it enables seamless communication and data exchange between providers, improves customer experience, and facilitates compliance with regulatory requirements.

Standardizing subscriber information across different network providers can be achieved by following these steps: define the data fields and format to be used, cleanse and validate the data, establish data sharing agreements, implement a system for ongoing data synchronization, and regularly audit and update the data.

The benefits of standardizing subscriber information include improved data accuracy and consistency, enhanced customer experience, reduced costs associated with data discrepancies, improved compliance with regulatory requirements, and better decision-making capabilities based on accurate data.

Challenges may include resistance from network providers to share data, lack of standardized data formats and fields, data quality issues, and technical limitations. It is important to address these challenges through collaboration, data governance, and the use of appropriate tools and processes.

To ensure data accuracy, validate and cleanse the data regularly, and implement data quality checks. For data privacy, establish data sharing agreements that outline security measures and data usage guidelines, encrypt data during transmission and storage, and adhere to relevant data privacy regulations such as GDPR or CCPA.
