Moon Waterfall – The Perfect Escape from the Summer Heat
Moon Waterfall in Hoa Binh province boasts a unique location nestled among picturesque terraced rice fields and flowing through a dense forest. Visitors will be immersed in breathtaking natural scenery with cascading waterfalls and surrounding green fields, pristine forests, and peaceful stilt houses at the foot of the mountains.
The waterfall is not very high, only about 20 meters. However, as soon as visitors arrive at the Xom Trang cultural house, they will be greeted by a stunning view of white foam. Due to its unique tiered structure, the water still forms multiple strong streams as it cascades down, creating a mesmerizingly scenic view.
When viewed from below, the waterfall can be seen as five distinct layers with varying degrees of segmentation.
The first tier of the waterfall is about 3 meters high, creating powerful streams and white foam as it cascades down. The second and third tiers have a gentler slope with rugged stone steps, resulting in a more tranquil flow. In the fourth and fifth tiers, the water branches out into multiple streams that wind their way through the rocks beneath the ancient trees, resembling a graceful silk ribbon meandering through the mountains and forests, as beautiful as a painting.
There are also many large ancient trees beside the waterfall, providing a cool shade that envelops the entire area. Visitors can sit under the refreshing shade to admire the scenery. During the summer, you can take a dip in the clear, cold water to escape the heat.
