Ensure a clean pan
The pan must be clean so that the food does not stick to it. It is best to use a separate pan for frying. After cleaning the pan, you can add some water to it and boil it. This method helps to completely remove any food residue and grease from the pan. Pour out the boiled water and let the pan dry.
For frying, you should choose a pan with high sides to reduce the risk of sticking and oil splatter.
Heat the oil properly
You should wait for the pan to dry before adding oil. Heat the oil until it is hot before adding the food. This will prevent the food from sticking and oil splatter.
Ensure the food is dry before putting it in the pan
Water and oil do not mix. These two substances also have different boiling points. While water boils at 100 degrees Celsius, oil has a higher boiling point. When water meets hot oil, it quickly evaporates and carries small droplets of oil into the air. To avoid oil splatter, you need to dry or pat dry the food before putting it in the pan.
You can also sprinkle a thin layer of flour on the surface of the food. The flour will absorb the water on the surface of the ingredients, so when you put them in the frying pan, the oil will not splatter. In addition, this method also helps the food have a crispy, golden crust, which is attractive.
Sprinkle salt in the pan
A tip for frying without oil splatter is to use table salt. You can add a little salt to the boiling oil in the pan before adding the food to fry.
Add flour to the pan
You can add 1/2 tablespoon of flour (such as wheat flour, cornstarch…) to the cooking oil and stir well. If the oil is plentiful, you can increase the amount of flour.
When the oil is hot, add the food to fry and keep the heat at medium. Once you have added the flour to the pan, even if you add wet food, you don’t have to worry about oil splatter.
Rub ginger in the pan
You can use a slice of fresh ginger to rub all over the pan before adding the oil. This method works very well in preventing sticking.
Similarly, rubbing fresh lemon on the entire pan also helps to prevent sticking and minimize oil splatter.
