Crispy Cheese Spring Rolls
Spring rolls are a familiar dish in Vietnamese Tet meals. This Tet, try adding cheese to the filling of spring rolls and see how it turns out. This dish is not only delicious but also attractive, surely everyone in the family will love it!
Ingredients (serves 4)
- Medium-sized Japanese sweet potatoes: 3
- Mozzarella cheese: 6 stalks (available at supermarkets)
- Sugar: 1 teaspoon
- Starch cheese: 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro powder: 10g
- Chili sauce: 1 tablespoon
- Cooking oil: 50 ml
- Rice paper: 100g
Instructions:
- Preparation of Sweet Potatoes
Wash and boil the sweet potatoes until cooked, then peel off the skin. You can also microwave the sweet potatoes for about 8 minutes. Mash the sweet potatoes and add 1 tablespoon of sugar, mix well.
- Rolling the Spring Rolls
Spread the rice paper on a cutting board, add sweet potatoes to the rice paper. Then place the cheese on top. Roll up the filling until all the filling is used.
- Frying the Spring Rolls
Heat the cooking oil in a pot or pan, fry the spring rolls until golden brown. Remove the spring rolls and place on a plate lined with paper towel to absorb the oil.
- Finished Product
Sprinkle starch cheese and finely chopped cilantro on top and serve hot. The crispy cheese sweet potato spring rolls have a balanced sweetness and delicious aroma, dipping in a little spicy chili sauce is absolutely amazing!
Pan-Fried Salmon with Orange Sauce
Salmon is a nutritious food, good for your health. Pan-fried salmon with orange sauce will bring you a new and delicious taste.
Ingredients (serves 3)
- Sliced salmon fillet: 300g
- Navel oranges: 3
- Celery: 100g
- Carrot: 1
- Salt: 2 teaspoons
- White pepper: 1 teaspoon
- Chicken powder: 1 teaspoon
- Sugar: 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil: 1 teaspoon
Instructions:
- Marinating the Salmon
Prepare the salmon meat, wash and dry it, then add 1/3 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper, and rub the salmon evenly with all the spices. Marinate for about 20 minutes.
- Preparation of Other Ingredients
Wash the celery, then cut into sections, separate the leaves and stems. Rinse the carrot, peel and slice thinly.
Peel the oranges, separate the orange flesh and place it in a bowl. Peel off the white layer of the orange peel, then cut the peel into strips (10 – 15 strips). Then soak the orange peel strips in diluted saltwater for about 5 minutes.
- Making the Orange Sauce
Mash or use a blender to puree the orange flesh, then add 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch, and 40ml of purified water.
Place a small saucepan on the stove, pour the sauce mixture in, simmer and stir until the sauce boils and thickens.
- Pan-Frying the Salmon
Heat the pan, add olive oil, when the oil is hot, add the salmon and pan-fry each side for about 2 – 3 minutes. At the same time, add the celery, carrots, and orange peel strips. You can sprinkle a little salt and pepper on the vegetables for a richer flavor.
- Finished Product
Place the salmon and vegetables on a plate, pour the orange sauce over them.
You have completed the pan-fried salmon with orange sauce, which is rich in flavor, delicious, the salmon is tender and fatty, combined with the sweet and tangy orange sauce, it’s both delightful and nutritious!
