How to call from Vietnam to Japan
To make a call from Vietnam to Japan, you need to dial the following syntax:
Method 1: Call landline – fixed phone number:
Make the call according to the following syntax: 00-81-Area Code – Recipient’s phone number
Where:
- 00 is the international exit code in Vietnam.
- 81 is the country calling code for Japan.
- Area Code is the Japanese area code where the call is being received.

Method 2: Call mobile phones:

Note: Depending on the telephone booth, you may use 010 or 0033010 dialing code.
For example, if you want to call a relative in Gia Lai, Vietnam, with the phone number 123456789, you would dial: 01084269123456789.
Method 2: Call mobile phones:
Make the call using the following syntax: 010 – 84 – Recipient’s phone number
Note: Omit the first 0 in the recipient’s phone number.
For example, if you are in Japan and want to call a relative in Vietnam with the mobile phone number 0123456789, you would dial: 01084123456789.
How to make cheap two-way calls
Method 1: Use mobile phone applications, tablets
With the development of technology today, smartphones and tablets support downloading free messaging, voice calling, and video calling apps such as Facebook Messenger, Skype, Line, Viber, Whatsapp, etc.
- Advantages: Easy to use, easy to search and download for free from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
- Disadvantages: Both parties need to be connected to the Internet.
Method 2: Use international phone cards
