Significance of Worshiping on the 2nd day of Lunar New Year
According to customs, during the first few days of the new year, families will visit and wish Tet to their relatives and loved ones. In addition, worshiping will also be performed from the 1st day of Tet until the end. This is an occasion for children and grandchildren to express gratitude to the deities and ancestors who have protected and blessed the family, wishing for a peaceful and warm new year for the family.
Compared to the worshiping ritual on the 1st day, the worshiping ritual on the 2nd day does not have many differences. Depending on the tradition, families can prepare some dried food, candies, fresh fruits, betel and areca nuts, candles, incense, flowers, and 3 cups of water.
