Chicken Manure
Chicken manure contains essential nutrients for plants. It has a high organic content, beneficial soil microorganisms, helps improve soil fertility, reduce salinity, acidity, and retain moisture in the soil. In addition, it also contains superior levels of N-P-K.
If you have chicken manure available, you can evenly spread it on the surface of the soil or combine it with other inorganic fertilizers.
After applying the fertilizer, water the soil until it is moist. The manure will slowly decompose and provide nutrients for strong plant growth and abundant flowering.
Sheep Manure
Sheep manure is a commonly used organic fertilizer in gardening. It provides a lot of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. When using sheep manure, you don’t have to worry about the manure fermenting and burning the plant roots.
You just need to crush the sheep manure and dig a few holes around the plant’s roots. Place the manure in the holes and cover with soil. Avoid direct contact between the manure and the plant roots.
When watering, the sheep manure will slowly decompose and provide the necessary nutrients for the plants, promoting leaf and branch growth and stimulating abundant flowering.
Rice Bran, Beans, Sesame Seeds
The leftover rice bran, beans, and sesame seeds from the oil pressing process can be used as fertilizers for plants. These residues are rich in phosphorus and have the effect of stimulating flowering and prolonging the flowering period.
The rice bran, beans, and sesame seeds can be mixed directly into the soil or spread at the bottom of the pot. Note that the residues should not come into direct contact with the plant roots to avoid root burn.
In addition, you can soak the rice bran, beans, and sesame seeds in water in a ratio of 1:10 and then sun-dry them for 7-15 days to ferment. Dilute the fermented solution with clean water and water the plants with it.
Animal Bones
Paper flowers require phosphorus and potassium to produce abundant flowers. Meanwhile, animal bones such as chicken bones and fish bones contain potassium, calcium, and phosphorus.
You can collect various animal bones such as chicken, fish, and pork, then boil them thoroughly to remove excess salt from the bones. After that, take out the bones and sun-dry them. When the bones are dry and crispy, grind them into powder.
Using just one spoonful of bone powder as fertilizer for the plants each month will promote healthy plant growth, vigorous shoots, and abundant flowering.
Fish Innards, Shrimp Shells, Eggshells
You can make use of fish innards, fish scales, shrimp shells, and eggshells as fertilizers for plants. These ingredients provide phosphorus and potassium, promoting abundant flowering.
Before using them, ferment the ingredients. Put the fish innards, fish scales into a container and cover with a layer of soil about 20cm thick. Close the container tightly and let it ferment for 4-6 months until the ingredients are completely decomposed.
After that, you can directly mix this mixture into the base of the paper flower (about 40 cm away from the root system).
Note that this mixture has a strong odor, so please consider before using it.
