According to DSPL, every spring and summer passing through National Road 20, Loc Nga, Bao Loc, Lam Dong, many people are amazed by a house that seems to come out of a fairy tale. The entire house, including the roof, is covered with a colorful array of fireworks flowers. In front of the house, the flowers cascade down to partially cover the entrance.

Mr. Huu Thang and Mrs. Lan are the owners of this unique house. Mr. Thang happily revealed that, for many years now, thanks to the special flowers, the house has become famous overnight. As their house is located by a busy road with many passing vehicles, it has caught people’s attention from afar, becoming a popular stopping place for many buses.

The house is covered in beautiful flowers like in a fairy tale

“These flowers are called fireworks flowers, or winter jasmine flowers. My wife has been planting these flowers for 15 years now. People in this area also grow these flowers a lot, but they usually plant them on fences. In our case, we wanted to surround our house with these flowers to make it more vibrant and outstanding,” Mr. Thang shared.

The part of the house covered with fireworks flowers is actually a grocery store owned by Mr. Thang and Mrs. Lan. Their house is located right behind the store. Although it may seem like a huge array of flowers, there are actually only 2 gigantic trees, with one of them being exceptionally large, with a big trunk and many twisted branches intertwining with each other like ropes.

“Every year, these flowers bloom twice, during the spring and summer seasons. Starting from Tet, they blossom vibrantly. Fireworks flowers are not rare, but not many houses have them growing for 15 years and completely covering the house.

That’s why people have asked to buy them, but I always answer that they’re not for sale because these trees hold the memories and have been a part of our family for a long time,” Mr. Thang revealed.

Although fireworks flowers are supposed to be climbers, the trees Mr. Thang and Mrs. Lan have planted have become so old that their trunks and stems have turned into wood. What’s special is that even at such an “old age,” the trees are still growing strongly, and flowers even bloom near their base.

The fireworks flowers completely cover the corners of the grocery store

Mrs. Lan added that she has had a great passion for plants, enjoys gardening, and decorating her house and garden with various types of flowers. There was also a special connection between her and the two fireworks flowers trees.

“Back then, my neighbors were moving, and they were about to get rid of these two trees. When I saw that they were still blooming and about to be cut down, I felt sorry for them, so I asked if I could take them home to plant. At that time, the two trees were still small.

After planting them at home, somehow they blossomed beautifully, even though I only watered them regularly during the hot season and let them be during the rainy season. In the past, the trees grew long and climbed outside onto the road, but later we had to trim them a bit to ensure the safety of the Bao Loc pass.

For many years now, many curious passersby have stopped by, took photos, and filmed the trees. I’m just happy about it. But some people try to pull the flowers or even try to climb up the tree trunk. I have to stop them because I feel sorry for the trees and I’m afraid they will break,” Mr. Thang admitted.

Many people passing by ask to take pictures with these unique flowers.

Moreover, many people would think that when flowers cover a house like this, there would be many ants, insects, or even snakes inhabiting them. However, during these 15 years, Mrs. Lan has only seen bees come to collect nectar; she has never seen any insects or other animals.
